Behaviour Supports

Behaviour Support Practitioners work with clients and their families to address behaviours of concern displayed by individuals with diverse needs.

At Horizon Therapy Services, our Behaviour Support Practitioners have completed tertiary level qualifications in Allied Health, Psychology or Education and have experience working with children on improving their behaviours.

Our Behaviour Support Practitioners are also registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Behaviour Support Practitioners are able to offer the following services;

  • Individual therapy sessions focusing on the implementation of behaviour management techniques such as relaxation skills, impulse control, social skills, emotional regulation and functional living skills.
  • The development of comprehensive treatment plans for home, school and community focused on the client’s diagnosis and behavioural assessments.
  • Complete school visits to observe behaviours at school and provide guidance and strategies to teachers.
  • Responsible for assembling, maintaining and analysing data gathered in client sessions to inform treatment programs, progress reports and feedback.
